This Update provides a summary of the initiatives regarding economic, social and cultural (ESC) rights at the 31st session of the Human Rights Council (March 2016). It provides information on most initiatives on ESC rights and more detailed information and analysis on those initiatives the Global Initiative for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights followed more closely (right to work, right to adequate housing, economic, social and cultural rights resolution, 50th Anniversary of the Human Rights Covenants, human rights and the environment).
